About The Position

The Director of Patient Access is responsible for overseeing the operations of patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and financial counseling. Overseeing patient registration and admission processing. This role involves strategic planning and coordination with various departments to improve patient satisfaction and access to care.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures

Responsibilities

Implementing and enforcing policies and procedures for patient satisfaction and compliance with healthcare regulations
Managing appointment scheduling to optimize resources and minimize wait times
Coordinating with clinical departments to ensure seamless patient flow from admission through discharge
Recruit, train, and onboard new staff
Conduct regular One-on-Ones with team members to deepen the understanding of issues and assist colleagues to resolve problems for themselves
Provide coaching and assistance to team members on an ongoing basis
Leading and evaluating the patient access team for high-quality customer service and adherence to best practices
Developing and monitoring the department's budget, including forecasting and allocating resources for staffing and technology
Analyzing patient access data to identify trends and implement improvements in processes and technology
Works with medical, nursing and accounting staff to ensure appropriate patient placement
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
