About The Position

The Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operational management, and clinical excellence of outpatient behavioral health services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for clinical staff. The Director will lead program development, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance with regulatory standards to enhance service effectiveness and patient outcomes. They will serve as a key liaison between clinical teams, administrative leadership, and external stakeholders to promote integrated behavioral health services. Ultimately, the Director will drive innovation and growth within the outpatient behavioral health department to meet the evolving needs of the community.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Psychiatry, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or equivalent in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in behavioral health.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of outpatient behavioral health services, clinical best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex programs.
  • Leadership and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills for interpreting clinical data, monitoring outcomes, and making informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in technology and data systems.
