The Director of the Out-of-School (OOS) Program provides leadership, planning, and daily oversight for a high-quality youth program that operates after school during the academic year and as a full-day summer program. This role is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for students in kindergarten through 8th grade while supervising staff, managing program operations, building family and school partnerships, and ensuring compliance with Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) requirements and all applicable licensing, health, and safety standards. This position requires regular evening and weekend availability to support program operations, trainings, events, meetings, and organizational needs. Oversee daily implementation of CACFP meal and snack service in accordance with USDA, state, and organizational requirements. Ensure accurate meal counts, attendance records, production records, menus, and other required CACFP documentation are completed and maintained. Coordinate with kitchen, food service, or designated staff to ensure meals and snacks meet program meal pattern requirements and are served on approved schedules. Train and monitor staff on CACFP procedures, meal service requirements, civil rights expectations, sanitation, and documentation practices. Support site readiness for reviews, audits, and monitoring visits; address corrective actions in a timely and thorough manner. Ensure the program remains compliant with licensing, health and safety regulations, emergency procedures, and child supervision requirements.
