About The Position

Premier Systems is an established HVAC company serving Bozeman and the surrounding communities. Over the past decade, we’ve built a strong reputation for hassle-free solutions, quality workmanship, and a culture built on accountability and growth. We are seeking a Director of Operations to lead daily execution, drive performance, and ensure operational excellence across the business. This is a key leadership role responsible for owning day-to-day execution and company performance. You will work directly with ownership to translate vision into action, lead team performance, and ensure the business runs efficiently and profitably. This role oversees core operational functions, including: Service (Residential & Light Commercial), AOR (Add-On/Replacement), Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), Select New Construction Projects, and Sales performance and execution across all departments.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years leadership experience in the trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction)
  • Proven ability to own performance and deliver measurable results tied to revenue and profitability
  • Experience overseeing scheduling, team productivity, and revenue generation in a service-based business
  • Strong financial awareness, with experience impacting revenue, margins, and operational efficiency
  • Decisive, respected, and fair leader with a track record of execution
  • Highly organized, action-oriented, and comfortable making decisions quickly
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC experience strongly preferred
  • Experience leading or influencing sales teams and revenue performance
  • Working knowledge of service operations, job flow, and field team coordination
  • Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field service software is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or Construction Management (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of daily, weekly, and monthly revenue targets
  • Ensure the board is full, teams are productive, and opportunities are being converted
  • Drive consistent performance across operations and sales
  • Maintain scheduling efficiency and team productivity
  • Ensure follow-up on unsold estimates and open opportunities
  • Monitor key metrics and take action quickly when performance is off track
  • Hold team members and leaders accountable to expectations, scorecards, and results
  • Reinforce strong sales and service behaviors across the team
  • Address performance issues quickly and directly
  • Ensure jobs move efficiently from sale to completion
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks in both operations and sales processes
  • Improve coordination across departments
  • Drive efficiency and cost awareness across operations
  • Partner with ownership to maintain strong margins and cash flow
  • Align execution with company financial goals
  • Translate ownership’s direction into daily priorities and actions
  • Keep the organization focused, aligned, and moving forward
