About The Position

GDIT has an opportunity for an Operations Director to lead operational support for the Federal Health Division. The position requires a regular onsite presence at GDIT Headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (work experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
  • 5+ years senior level Operations, Program / Project Administration, and/or Business Administration experience
  • Knowledge of a broad range of disciplines, such as HR, Facilities, Finance and Accounting, Communication, and Contracting
  • Experience in developing and implementing business strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Confluence, or Teams.
  • Experience supporting executive-level stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and prepare summaries or recommendations for leadership.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build successful relationships working across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to perform independent, self-directed work

  • Experience in government contracting or a similar industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and manage Division and Sector operations to maintain an effective, fully functional organization; align efforts across GDIT and Division stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of annual operations and strategic plans; support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Sectors, Division, and corporate functions, effectively coordinating with support teams.
  • Support the Division SVP in establishing and managing business rhythms, operational cadence, and leadership priorities.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Federal Health Leadership Team, leading or participating in special projects and Division-wide initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate data calls, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Track and monitor executive deliverables, deadlines, and action items on behalf of leadership.
  • Develop high-quality reports, presentations, talking points, and written communications; maintain Division online content, newsletters, and announcements.
  • Plan and support leadership offsites, employee engagement activities, and other Division events.
  • Streamline, document, and enhance operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability across the Division.
  • Track and manage Division-level metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Coordinate internal and external reviews, audits, and governance activities.
  • Ensure timely submission of recurring operational deliverables, including business reviews and corporate reporting packages.
  • Serve as the central coordinator for Division-wide communications to ensure clear, timely, and consistent messaging.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Contracts, and other functions to address operational challenges and ensure alignment with corporate standards.
  • Identify operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies to leadership.
