Bighorn Airways, Inc. is seeking an experienced aviation executive to serve as Director of Operations. This role provides strategic leadership, regulatory oversight, and operational control for all Part 135 and Part 91 flight operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance. Bighorn Airways is a diversified aviation company operating a fleet of aircraft supporting U.S. Government smokejumper and para-cargo missions in Alaska and the lower 48 states, as well as overseas operations. As a DoD-approved air carrier, Bighorn Airways has built a strong reputation for reliability, safety, and operational excellence over more than five decades in Wyoming and the Inter-Mountain West. The Director of Operations holds FAA-designated authority and is responsible for operational control, regulatory compliance, safety management, and leadership of flight operations personnel. The role oversees Chief Pilots, flight training, operational planning, and compliance with FAA and international regulatory requirements.
