About The Position

Reporting to the SVP Ground Handling Operations - Americas, this permanent role is responsible for the business interests and operations of Montreal Trudeau International Airport located at 975 Romeo-Vachon Blvd North, Dorval, QC H4Y 1H1, Canada. Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own subject area and basic knowledge of these elements in others
  • In-depth understanding of how own station integrates within the business and basic commercial awareness
  • Management responsibility for multiple teams
  • Uses judgement based on the analysis of information
  • Through responsibility for delivery of end results, and contribution to planning, finances/budget and formulation of policies
  • Primarily at station level – Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport - YUL
  • Developed communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and legally able to work in
  • Computer literate, solid knowledge of MS Office as well as other related programs
  • Previous airline/aviation operational knowledge is
  • Extensive experience in Ramp Handling and good understanding of the Operational
  • Must be able to obtain and hold all required security
  • Familiar with GOMs, Airline procedures, Airport procedures, Airport legislations
  • Fully versed on International Aviation Safety and Security standards and passionate about promoting them within the organization.
  • SLA driven to meet customer expectations by delivering
  • Adaptability with regards to working with a multi-national workforce, and collaborating well with local working unions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring service delivery to customer airlines in accordance with airline contracts, and within the agreed budget level.
  • Ensuring safety and security procedures are according to standards set within the Menzies Health & Safety Policy Manual, and according to international aviation standards.
  • Monitoring performance, and taking action to correct any shortfalls.
  • Liaising with airline station managers, airport operations management, handling agents, customs, immigration, and security officials, union officials, and other airport stakeholders.
  • Providing reports as required, and service delivery measurements.
  • Providing leadership to the team and developing their skills.
  • Negotiating contracts with airlines and staff agreements with union officials
  • Ensures all tasks are performed in accordance with the Company and Airlines specific procedures and policies.
  • Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as it applies to the job role.
  • Work shifts as required by the business.
