About The Position

Honeywell Aerospace is hiring a Director of Operational Excellence, described in the posting as an Aerospace Operating System Site Leader. The role leads development and site-wide deployment of the Aerospace Operating System (AOS), transforming operational performance at one or more sites. The leader partners with the Site Leader and AOS Global Operations Leader to establish the AOS roadmap, align strategic priorities, and implement the system across functions including planning, materials, sourcing, and quality. As a thought leader and change agent, this person coaches leaders, develops methods, and drives continuous improvement. The role also optimizes end-to-end supply chain processes across procurement, planning, production, distribution, and logistics to support growth, operational efficiency, and cultural transformation. Limited travel to other locations for training or project support may be required. Applicants must be U.S. citizens due to contractual agreements.

Requirements

At least 8 years of practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Operating Systems principles and tools.
At least 8 years of project management experience involving strategic and tactical change projects.
Business fluency in the local language and English.
Experience influencing and communicating effectively with frontline employees, site leadership, and senior executives; leading cross-functional initiatives; and presenting business outcomes to leadership teams.
Ability to travel to other locations for training or project support; travel is limited.
Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual agreements.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Master of Business Administration.
Experience in operations areas such as production, planning, procurement, or logistics.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, prioritize, and organize improvement events and AOS courses to create value for the unit.
Manage or lead relevant strategic and operational business challenges.
Foster a continuous improvement mindset using appropriate methods and tools.
Support or orchestrate the site's Hoshin Kanri process.
Support or orchestrate productivity-generation activities.
Coach peers and key managers in promoting and using AOS.
Act as a thought leader for an Agile and Lean mindset.
Advance AOS by sharing success stories and recognizing stakeholders.
Orchestrate, coach, and lead the AOS community and key enablers.
Drive, motivate, and manage employee AOS qualifications.
Participate actively in the global, companywide AOS community.
Collaborate with the AOS office to execute the AOS strategy.
Partner with the Site Leader and AOS Global Operations Leader to establish the AOS roadmap, align priorities, and enable scalable implementation across site functions.
Coach leaders, develop methods, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Optimize end-to-end supply chain processes spanning procurement, planning, production, distribution, and logistics.
