About The Position

Spring Arbor of Williamsburg is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (Resident Care Director) to lead the clinical operations of their Assisted Living and Memory Care community. Requirements

  • Active RN or LPN license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care.
  • At least 1 year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong assessment, care planning, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Passion for serving older adults with dignity and compassion.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead confidently while fostering a positive team culture.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Assisted Living, or equivalent geriatric care with Assisted Living training.
  • Minimum one (1) year of supervisory nursing experience.
  • Licensed RN or LPN in good standing with the applicable state licensing authority.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background screening.
  • Ability to meet all drug-free workplace requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems.
  • Experience leading Assisted Living and/or Memory Care clinical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of state regulations and survey readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations for 64 Assisted Living residents and 24 Memory Care residents.
  • Provide clinical oversight for resident care and wellness services.
  • Lead, coach, and develop nursing and caregiving associates.
  • Create individualized resident service plans and ensure they remain current.
  • Monitor resident well-being and coordinate appropriate care interventions.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all state regulations and company clinical standards.
  • Partner closely with the Assistant Resident Care Director and Memory Care leadership to provide seamless resident care.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and department operations.
  • Participate in the Manager-on-Duty (MOD) rotation to support overall community leadership.
  • Promote a culture of compassion, accountability, teamwork, and excellence.
