About The Position

Providence Place, a Lifespark Skilled Nursing Community, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to serve as our Director of Nursing. This full-time position involves working days with on-call hours and offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $150,000 per year. Providence Place is located in southern Minneapolis and provides services for seniors in a Transitional Care Unit (TCU), Long-Term Care, and Memory Care. For over 25 years, we have been committed to helping seniors 'Age Magnificently' and are part of Senior Care Communities, a local non-profit organization. We are looking for individuals who are compassionate and passionate about enriching the lives of others to join our team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.
  • Must possess advanced computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of two years' management or supervisory experience in long-term or acute care is preferred.
  • Restorative or geriatric nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the nursing staff for the provision of quality and appropriate resident care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
  • Schedule and/or perform rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
  • Maintain administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the proper charting and documentation of care, medications, and treatments.
  • Assist with hiring nursing staff, oversee the provision of orientation and training, and retain qualified staff to carry out nursing and assisted living programs and services.
  • Assist with developing and implementing the written staffing plan and nursing schedule that reflects the needs of the resident population.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to build relationships with internal and external prospects, customers, families, and care providers.
  • Evaluate current and potential residents to determine and maintain facility’s ability to provide the appropriate level of care.
  • Manage clinical aspects of state or federal government survey processes.
