About The Position
As the Director of Nursing (DON), you will be a crucial member of our leadership team that leads all clinical programs and ensure the highest level of clinical care is being provided to all residents.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois in good standing.
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment (PointClickCare).
- Ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- 2 years experience as a DON or an ADON in long term care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all nursing staff.
- Plan, develop, organize, and implement the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
- Oversee department budgets.
- Communicate with doctors, residents, and family members about resident health.
- Implement new procedures and training nurses on policies.
