About The Position
White Oak of Burlington is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead its nursing department as Director of Nursing. The facility is a 160-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Burlington, North Carolina, on a campus that also includes independent living, assisted living, and a wellness center. The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership and operation of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality resident care and compliance with facility policies, professional nursing standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. The role provides leadership to the nursing team and works collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, staff, referral sources, vendors, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be a confident, compassionate, flexible, innovative, organized, and team-oriented nurse leader. The position offers support from an experienced clinical team, nurse managers, corporate nursing consultants, and an established leadership team. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
- At least 1 year of long-term care and supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Genuine commitment to serving and working with the senior population.
- Strong critical-thinking and customer-service skills.
