About The Position

The Director of Nursing (DON) provides clinical leadership to ensure resident care is safe, consistent, and compliant. This full-time role involves guiding a strong and accountable care team. The DON will support resident acceptance decisions, ensure assessments and service agreements are completed per regulation, and partner with residents and families on care planning and communication. The position also includes managing staffing and overtime to support the budget, and participating in on-call coverage as needed. The role emphasizes a work/life balance with a team of triage call RNs for overnights and weekends and a dedicated staff scheduler.

Requirements

• Current RN license in good standing (state where the community is located)
• Prior healthcare leadership/nursing administration experience
• Working knowledge of Department of Health regulations for senior living with a comprehensive home care license
• Strong supervision, management, interpersonal, and resident-centered communication skills
