About The Position

River Oaks of Minnesota is seeking a Full-Time Nursing Director (RN) to lead our nursing services and champion the quality of life for residents navigating mental health challenges. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing strong leadership, mentorship, and clinical oversight while supporting a compassionate, resident-centered care environment. As our Nursing Director, you will serve as the cornerstone of our care program, overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department while providing hands-on support, guidance, and training to the direct care team. Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
  • BLS certification
  • Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skills
  • Organized, self-motivated, and highly effective at prioritization
  • Passion for improving quality of life and delivering person-centered care
  • Commitment to regulatory excellence and compassionate service

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong, positive leadership to the nursing department while mentoring and supporting direct care staff.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs to promote staff growth, quality care, and clinical excellence.
  • Partner with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and coordinate comprehensive person-centered care plans that support both mental health and physical wellness.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, safe medication administration practices, timely physician communication, and quality outcomes for residents with complex mental health and physical care needs.
