About The Position
Diversicare is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the nursing department at Diversicare Sedgwick in Sedgwick, Kansas. The Director shapes the quality of care and life for residents, advances the nursing department, and contributes to the facility’s mission and values-driven culture. The role includes administrative leadership, budget support, nursing staff development, and quality improvement. The position offers a bonus plan and a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Hold a current Registered Nurse license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
- Demonstrate managerial and administrative capabilities.
- Have at least two years of supervisory experience.
- Be proficient in organizing and planning programs, assigning personnel, and evaluating reports and data to support quality improvement.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in long-term care or working with geriatric populations is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility in the Administrator’s absence and implement policies and procedures to support compliance.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain best practices.
- Assist in preparing and administering the department budget and allocating resources efficiently.
- Recruit, coach, and evaluate nursing staff while fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Analyze and evaluate nursing services to improve resident care.
- Develop systems that promote resident well-being and functional independence.
