About The Position

We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing Services (DON) for our Providence Park Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Mobile, AL. This role is for a state-of-the-art Skilled Nursing Facility. The DON must have the ability to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards governing the facility and as may be directed by the Administrator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. The DON must also possess clinical skills capable of providing skilled care to both long-term and short-term post-acute patients. This opportunity is for individuals with a desire and a passion to serve the rehabilitation and healthcare needs in both long-term and short-term care.

Requirements

Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Alabama.
Must have Nurse Management experience.
Must have previous experience in a hospital, long-term facility, or other healthcare-related facility.
Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures.
Must be knowledgeable of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Must have a comfort and positive attitude in communicating with the elderly who have multiple nursing care needs.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the overall operation of the Nursing Services department.
Ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
Provide skilled care to both long-term and short-term post-acute patients.
