Director of Nursing (DON)
About The Position
We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing Services (DON) for our Magnolia Haven Health & Rehabilitation Center in Tuskegee, AL. The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards. This role requires strong clinical skills to provide skilled care to both long-term and short-term post-acute patients. Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Alabama
- Must have Nurse Management experience
- Must have previous experience in a hospital, long-term facility or other healthcare related facility
- Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Must have a comfort and positive attitude in communicating with the elderly who have multiple nursing care needs
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility and as may be directed by the Administrator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
- Provide skilled care to both long-term and short-term post-acute patients.
