About The Position

Diversicare is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the nursing department at Diversicare Sedgwick in Sedgwick, Kansas. The Director will guide nursing operations, shape the quality of care and life for residents, and support the facility’s mission and values-driven culture. The position includes administrative leadership, department budget responsibilities, nursing-team development, and quality-improvement work to promote resident well-being and functional independence. Requirements

• Hold a current Registered Nurse license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
• Demonstrate managerial and administrative ability.
• Have at least two years of supervisory experience.
• Be proficient in organizing and planning programs, assigning personnel, and evaluating reports and data to support quality-improvement initiatives.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in long-term care or working with geriatric populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility in the Administrator’s absence and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain best practices.
• Assist in preparing and administering the nursing department budget and ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Recruit, coach, and evaluate nursing staff while fostering continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Analyze and evaluate nursing services to enhance resident care.
• Develop systems that promote resident well-being and functional independence.
