About The Position

The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for activities and functions related to the administration of member care systems and member care in nursing areas and departments. Employees in this role are required to participate in a structured on-call rotation, remaining accessible and prepared to respond to work-related needs within a designated timeframe. Rotations are scheduled in advance. Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. As part of the Telecare family, the Riverside County Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) is licensed as a 59-bed sub-acute residential program located in Riverside, CA. The program provides longer-term mental health recovery services 24/7/365 within a supportive, structured, and secure inpatient environment designed to help clients prepare to move to the community and/or lower levels of care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Four (4) years of nursing experience (including two years psychiatric and two years supervisory) OR Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field + two years of psychiatric experience + one year supervisory experience
  • At least one year of nursing supervision within the last five years
  • Current RN licensure in the state of operation
  • CPR, BLS (AHA), and CPI (hands-on) certification by start date
  • Valid and current driver’s license
  • Personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Administer member care systems and member care in nursing areas and departments.
  • Participate in a structured on-call rotation.
  • Respond to work-related needs within a designated timeframe during on-call rotations.
