About The Position

Advanced Recovery Systems is a physician-led behavioral healthcare company focused on providing evidence-based care for addiction and mental health conditions. The Recovery Village Indianapolis (RVI) is an addiction treatment center offering a continuum of care, including detox, residential, and partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient programs. The Director of Nursing oversees the daily operations of the Nursing/Health Services Department, ensuring quality psychiatric and general nursing care for patients with chemical dependency, substance use, and mental health issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Five (5) years’ experience in nursing field with emphasis in psychiatric, substance abuse, or eating disorders required.
  • Registered Nurse in the State of licensure, active and in good standing required.
  • CPR Certification required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • Experience in Nursing Leadership within a Residential or Inpatient treatment environment

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily operations of the Nursing/Health Services Department, ensuring quality psychiatric and general nursing care for patients with chemical dependency, substance use, and mental health issues.
  • Establishes and maintains nursing practice standards and policies aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Manages staff performance, recruitment, retention, and development.
  • Collaborates with departments and agencies for enhanced patient care and resource sharing.
  • Serves on the facility’s core management team to integrate nursing services effectively.
  • Oversees nursing staffing levels and applies flexible staffing strategies.
  • Coordinates infection control policies and ensures a safe environment.
  • Manages pharmacy, laboratory, and patient rights programs.
  • Monitors budgetary guidelines for nursing supplies and equipment.
  • Provides direct nursing services, including patient assessments, medication administration, documentation, and communication with medical personnel.
  • Participates in facility meetings, training, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development and adheres to licensing standards.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
