Director of Marketing & Business Development

Little Land Pediatric Therapy & Play GymAustin, TX
$60,000 - $70,000Onsite

About The Position

We're a multi-brand company spanning pediatric healthcare services, healthcare technology (B2B SaaS), and consumer products, with a growing franchise network layered on top. Reporting directly to the CEO and based in Austin, TX, this role owns marketing, communications, and business development across the full portfolio. This isn't a siloed marketing job. You'll manage a small creative team, represent the company at industry conferences, and act as a close partner to the CEO in building and qualifying high-value relationships. We're looking for the right person, not the most experienced one.

Requirements

  • Experience marketing to both consumers (B2C) and businesses or institutions (B2B). You understand these audiences are moved by different things
  • Background in one or more of: healthcare or healthcare services, education or education technology, consumer products, franchising, or B2B SaaS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills: clear, compelling, and audience-aware
  • Self-direction and follow-through; comfort operating across multiple brands without losing voice or coherence
  • An eye for design and a working sense of what good creative looks and feels like
  • Energy for conference environments: travel, networking, and high-visibility representation
  • Comfortable working in close, day-to-day partnership with a CEO and moving quickly on their priorities

Responsibilities

  • Own brand voice, messaging, and consistency across a family-facing healthcare services brand, a B2B software brand, and a consumer products brand, adapting tone for each audience without losing coherence
  • Lead digital marketing strategy across social, email, web, and content for all brands, and manage production of campaigns and assets with a small offshore creative team
  • Develop communications plans for launches, openings, franchise announcements, and company milestones, executing within CEO-approved budgets
  • Attend 3–5 industry conferences per year alongside the CEO across healthcare, technology, and education, doing pre-event research and outreach and representing the company on-site
  • Build and manage a wholesale and institutional partnership pipeline for the consumer products brand: buyers, distributors, and school/district contacts
  • Manage a three-person offshore creative team (two graphic designers, one influencer/social coordinator), setting priorities and maintaining quality standards
