Director of Maintenance
About The Position
The Director of Maintenance plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Maintenance Department at Aviata at Central Park. The role ensures that the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner and complies with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The Director develops preventive maintenance and equipment and utilities management programs, supervises maintenance technicians, supports safety inspections and training, and performs routine maintenance and repairs on the grounds. The position also seeks ways to improve systems and processes to deliver better results.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance- or plant-related position.
- Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Strong commitment to exceptional care.
Nice To Haves
- A secondary degree from an accredited vocational or technical school.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance plan for equipment and facilities.
- Establish an equipment and utilities management program to support efficient operation and maintenance.
- Hire, train, and supervise maintenance technicians.
