About The Position

JC Davis Power is a full-service jobsite operations partner that delivers and maintains temporary power, climate control, and associated services. The company provides reliable, 24/7 temporary power to commercial and industrial construction projects using a standardized fleet of mobile diesel generators and power distribution equipment. JC Davis Power is experiencing rapid growth, doubling revenue annually and scaling towards $1B. The company emphasizes that its fleet is its product, but its people are the engine behind its reliability. This role is part of a two-person fleet leadership team reporting to the EVP of Operations, focusing on keeping the running fleet operational and building a scalable maintenance organization.

Requirements

  • Deep fleet operations experience, including running remanufacturing, repairs, maintenance, and/or reliability for a sizable fleet of generators, heavy equipment, or comparable industrial assets.
  • Experience managing multi-site shops or maintenance operations and building the teams that run them.
  • Proven ability to develop technicians and shop leaders, treating people as the primary means of getting work done.
  • Proficiency in PM programs, failure analysis, and reliability engineering to increase fleet uptime during scaling.
  • Experience maintaining operations reliability through rapid, multi-region expansion without compromising quality or safety.
  • A standardization mindset, keeping shops true to standard configurations and preferring simple operations.
  • Data-driven approach, using telematics and monitoring data for maintenance decisions and acting on predictive alerts.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run shops that keep the fleet reliable, standardized, and deployable, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness with lean tooling and facilities across multiple locations.
  • Implement and manage preventive and field maintenance programs across the fleet to prevent problems.
  • Conduct failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and reliability engineering to increase uptime for a growing, geographically distributed fleet.
  • Manage the repair pipeline for velocity and quality, ensuring timely and accurate return of units to service.
  • Maintain parts and inventory discipline to keep shops operational and work orders closed.
  • Recruit, develop, certify, and retain technicians and shop leaders.
  • Establish and manage shops across regions to access talent and build leaders capable of running sites independently.
  • Ensure all rebuilds and repairs adhere to standard configurations to protect the standardized-fleet strategy.
  • Maintain live monitoring hardware and clean telematics data, acting on predictive-maintenance alerts.
