About The Position

The primary function of this position is to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Association’s enterprise technology infrastructure, cybersecurity program, cloud systems, software platforms, and long-term technology strategy. This role is critical in ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable technology operations while driving innovation, automation, and operational efficiency across the organization. The Director of IT Infrastructure and Systems will serve as the senior technology leader for the Association and is responsible for enterprise architecture, infrastructure planning, cybersecurity governance, budgeting, vendor management, and technology modernization initiatives. This position will also support the evaluation and responsible implementation of emerging technologies, including AI and automation solutions, to improve operational effectiveness, service delivery, and organizational decision-making. This role provides leadership and direction to the IT Program Manager and collaborates closely with senior leadership and departments to align technology initiatives with organizational goals and business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight to ten years of progressively responsible experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise systems administration, or technology operations, including leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, Exchange, networking, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, enterprise security frameworks, disaster recovery planning, and risk management best practices.
  • Experience leading infrastructure modernization projects, cloud transformations, system implementations, and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies, automation platforms, and responsible AI governance within enterprise environments.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience developing technology policies, governance frameworks, strategic roadmaps, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with leadership, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong customer service mindset and commitment to supporting organizational operations and employee experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, ITIL, PMP, or related certifications.
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments and enterprise cybersecurity programs.
  • Experience working in nonprofit, community association, local government, or public-sector environments.
  • Experience overseeing IT governance, vendor management, and long-term strategic technology planning.
