About The Position

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, standardizing business applications, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization. This role involves assessing and communicating risks associated with IT investments, developing and communicating technology plans to stakeholders, and managing hardware and software acquisition contracts. The Director will also be responsible for developing and executing an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan, ensuring the continuous delivery of IT services, and managing the IT budget. Additionally, this position supervises technical and data management staff, analyzes organizational and patient care systems to recommend automation, and oversees the implementation and management of new and existing information systems. The Director will also develop and manage the IT department's operating and capital budgets, maintain security management for IT systems, and oversee network, telecom, and operations IT managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Participate in strategic and operational governance processes of the business organization

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals.
  • Foster innovation, prioritize IT initiatives, and standardize business applications.

  • Pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scales.
  • Act as the focal point for negotiation of significant IT contracts for hardware and software vendors.
  • Direct the development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of IT services.
  • Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.
  • Ensure the IT operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations (HIPAA, PCI, USAC).
  • Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry.
  • Supervise the technical and data management staff.
  • Manage technically diverse, geographically dispersed information systems.
  • Analyze organizational and patient care systems and recommend automation.

  • Oversee the implementation and management of new information systems and the upgrading of and integration of existing information systems.
  • Evaluate policies and procedures for collecting, retrieving, storing, and securing of data and recommend changes.
  • Implement systems which collect and evaluate data and provide productivity and enterprise performance.
