About The Position

THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PERFORMING HR-RELATED DUTIES ON A PROFESSIONAL LEVEL AND WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICE IN SUPPORTING ALL GEOGRAPHIC REGIONS OF THE COMPANY. RESPONSIBLE FOR VARIOUS HUMAN RESOURCES PLANS AND PROCEDURES, ASSISTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATIONS OF COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES; CONTRIBUTES INFORMATION, ANALYSIS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO ORGANIZATIONS STRATEGIC DIRECTION.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  •  Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with field leaders and management to advise, counsel ad provide coaching and resolution to address employees’ performance. Provides performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
  • Supports General Counsel in legal cases with documentation.
  • Performs other duties as required.
