About The Position

Blauch Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead and execute human capital strategies that support our long-term business objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for overseeing all HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a high-performing, people-centered culture. This is a safety-sensitive, full-time salaried position with a typical schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible based on business needs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, leadership, or related fields

  • Ability to analyze workforce data and identify trends
  • Ability to work in an office environment with occasional physical activity (sitting, bending, reaching, etc.)
  • Frequent field visits to interact with workforce (including exposure to outdoor conditions)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must pass background check, drug screening, and employment eligibility verification

Responsibilities

  • Lead all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, retention, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
  • Oversee payroll processes and supervise the HR Generalist
  • Maintain and manage all HR records across their lifecycle (personnel files, I-9s, benefits, training, medical files, etc.)
  • Drive company-wide performance evaluation processes
  • Regularly review and update company policies and employee handbook
  • Partner with leadership to address workforce challenges, improve performance, and strengthen team dynamics
  • Support safety initiatives in collaboration with the Safety Director, including training compliance and maintaining a favorable MOD rate
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to inform decisions and improve outcomes
  • Participate in industry groups and stay current on HR trends and legislation
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of integrity
