About The Position

This critical role will join a team of passionate individuals on a mission to change the course of autism for families in Western North Carolina. St. Gerard Center for Autism (SGCA) is seeking a creative Director of Human Resources to help grow its innovative model and dynamic employees and volunteers. SGCA is an independent, non-profit organization in Hendersonville, NC, dedicated to changing outcomes for individuals with Autism. The Board of Directors and Leadership team encourage staff to grow, innovate, and bring joy to children, young adults, and their families. With a passion for individuals with Autism, following servant leadership, and respect for Applied Behavior Analysis, SGCA is a leader in Autism services and care in Western North Carolina. Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or at least five years of human resource experience
  • Ability to use various computer systems and applications
  • Ability to plan & organize
  • Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving techniques in the decision-making process
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all employees, volunteers, clients, and the public
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Effective supervisory & management skills
  • Skilled or experienced in team building, team participation, collaborative decision-making, and achieving organizational success
  • Proven ability to lead a team of clinicians and non-clinicians through a period of rapid organizational growth
  • Self-motivated leader
  • Ability to operate independently to drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability and desire to excel in both development of long-term strategic vision, and daily operational execution
  • Data-based decision-maker, driving recommendations through methodical analysis over gut/feel
  • Sound judgment and comfort in leading strategic decision making as well as a financial and human capital allocation for an organization
  • Unwavering dedication to learning, professional growth, and development as a priority throughout career
  • Knowledge of regulatory, safety, risk management, accreditation, and compliance standards and activities required to maintain compliance, i.e., HIPAA, CARF, BACB, OIG, OSHA, CMS, etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
