We are looking for a collaborative and experienced leader to join Cherry County Hospital in Valentine, NE as the Director of Home Health and Employee Health Services. The Director of Home Health and Employee Health Services provides strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and operational management for both home health programs and employee health initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in home health, employee health, or related healthcare setting
  • Strong knowledge of CMS, OSHA, and healthcare regulatory standards
  • Strong communication skills with patients, families, hospital staff, and the public
  • Ability to use sound judgment and appropriate communication channels
  • Strong reading comprehension for policies, procedures, and regulatory materials
  • Knowledge of hospital systems, structure, and administrative processes
  • Understanding of legal implications of employee health practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to manage change
  • Ability to work under stress while maintaining professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction and management of home health and employee health departments
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams including nursing, therapy, and employee health staff
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, HR, clinical departments, and external partners
  • Serve as liaison between home health services and internal departments
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and regulatory agencies
  • Oversee delivery of skilled nursing, therapy, and support services in patient homes
  • Ensure patient care meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Manage admissions, care planning, coordination, and discharge processes
  • Supervise clinical staff including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Monitor patient outcomes, satisfaction, and care coordination
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with reimbursement requirements
  • Direct employee health programs including screenings, immunizations, and occupational health services
  • Manage workplace injury and illness programs, including reporting, follow-up, and return-to-work coordination
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, OSHA, and workplace safety regulations
  • Lead infection prevention and exposure control initiatives
  • Provide employee wellness education and health promotion programs
  • Maintain confidential employee health records and reporting systems
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
  • Lead quality improvement and risk management initiatives
  • Prepare for and participate in audits, surveys, and inspections
  • Monitor infection control practices across patient care and workforce environments
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets
  • Analyze financial and operational data to improve efficiency and outcomes
  • Optimize staffing models and resource utilization
  • Ensure accurate billing and reimbursement processes for home health services
