About The Position

Cascade Medical is seeking a full-time Director of Health Information Management (HIM) & Coding in downtown Leavenworth. The Director is responsible for the overall management and integrity of patient health records and for ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA. The role oversees daily HIM services, including medical record processing, coding, transcription, release of information, and privacy practices, supporting accurate documentation, billing compliance, and quality reporting in a rural healthcare environment using the Meditech system.

The Director also oversees hospital coding functions to ensure accurate charge capture, billing compliance, and optimal reimbursement. The position aligns patient access, clinical documentation, coding, billing, and reimbursement processes; leads a multidisciplinary team; and collaborates with clinical, financial, and compliance departments to identify and resolve revenue leakage and integrity issues.
