About The Position

Cascade Medical is seeking a full-time Director of HIM & Coding in downtown Leavenworth. The Director manages the integrity of patient health records and oversees Health Information Management and coding operations in a rural healthcare environment using the Meditech system. The role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, and supports accurate documentation, billing compliance, quality reporting, charge capture, and optimal reimbursement. The Director aligns patient access, clinical documentation, coding, billing, and reimbursement processes; leads a multidisciplinary team; and collaborates with clinical, financial, and compliance departments to identify and resolve revenue leakage and integrity issues. Offer letters and wage determinations are based on years of experience. This safety-sensitive position requires a pre-employment drug screen, including THC testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage the integrity of patient health records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA.
• Oversee daily HIM services, including medical record processing, coding, transcription, release of information, and privacy practices.
• Oversee hospital coding functions to support accurate charge capture, billing compliance, and optimal reimbursement.
• Align patient access, clinical documentation, coding, billing, and reimbursement processes.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Work with clinical, financial, and compliance departments to identify and resolve revenue leakage and integrity issues.
• Support accurate documentation, billing compliance, and quality reporting.
