The Director of Health Wellness is responsible for overseeing the health and well-being of residents in an Assisted Living and Memory Support community. This includes conducting thorough health evaluations for new and current residents, continuously monitoring their health status and service plans, and ensuring team compliance with established protocols. The role involves immediate response to suspected resident abuse, comprehensive supervision of Assisted Living and Memory Support personnel (including hiring, coaching, training, scheduling, evaluations, and disciplinary actions), and active participation in various management and staff meetings. Furthermore, the Director collaborates with the Executive Director on community audits, continuous quality improvement initiatives, incident report management, and ensuring strict adherence to all local, state, federal, and licensing rules and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and State Survey issues. A critical aspect of this position is fostering teamwork, showing initiative, and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
