About The Position

The Director of Health Information, also referred to in the position summary as the Health Information Designee or Record Designee, is responsible for initiating, maintaining, and filing residents’ records at the facility. The role has access to all protected health information in residents’ charts. The position supports the company’s mission, values, and ethical standards; models a positive, professional image; promotes cooperation and teamwork; and helps ensure residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and that their rights are protected.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity.
Ability to represent the company ethically and professionally and maintain accountability.

Nice To Haves

2–4 years of previous medical records experience preferred.
Knowledge of ICD coding preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
