About The Position
The Director of Health Information, also described as the Health Information Designee, is responsible for initiating, maintaining, and filing resident records at the facility. The role has access to all protected health information in resident charts and is expected to uphold the organization’s mission, values, ethical standards, and commitment to high-quality, person-centered care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, compassion, and integrity.
- Ability to represent the company ethically and professionally and maintain accountability.
Nice To Haves
- Two to four years of previous medical records experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD coding preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
