About The Position

The Director of Growth Marketing will lead Boston Legacy FC’s fan acquisition, retention, and revenue growth strategy across ticketing, membership, merchandise, and digital channels. This role owns the full growth funnel from brand awareness and audience building through conversion, lifecycle marketing, and loyalty with a relentless focus on measurable outcomes that drive sustainable business performance. This position will report directly to the Head of Marketing and work cross-functionally with ticketing, partnerships, digital/content, brand, e-commerce, and analytics to build an integrated growth engine. This is an ideal opportunity for a data-driven, creative marketing leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth sports environment and wants to shape the commercial and cultural footprint of a new professional club from day one.

Requirements

  • 6 - 8 years of progressive experience in growth, performance, or lifecycle marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (sports or entertainment experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven track record of driving measurable revenue and audience growth across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Deep expertise in paid media strategy, CRM and lifecycle marketing, and digital analytics, with hands-on experience leveraging platforms such as Meta Ads, Google Ads, HubSpot, GA4, customer data platforms (CDPs), and other marketing technology tools to drive fan acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience building measurement frameworks, attribution models, and performance dashboards.
  • Experience managing agencies, budgets, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear narratives for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the Club’s integrated growth marketing strategy across ticket sales, memberships, merchandise, and digital subscription products.
  • Build the annual and seasonal marketing plan, including budgets, channel mix, audience strategy, and forecasted KPIs across acquisition and retention.
  • Partner with executive leadership to set revenue and audience targets, and translate them into actionable, measurable campaigns.
  • Lead paid media strategy and execution across digital, social, search, programmatic, OTT/CTV, audio, and out-of-home, optimizing for CAC, LTV, and ROAS.
  • Own agency and vendor relationships for paid media and martech, ensuring best-in-class performance and accountability.
  • Drive a continuous test-and-learn culture across audiences, creative, channels, and offers.
  • Build and scale the Club’s CRM and lifecycle marketing program, including email, SMS, push, and in-app journeys across the fan lifecycle from first touch through season ticket renewal.
  • Develop segmentation, personalization, and automation strategies that grow fan lifetime value and reduce churn.
  • Partner with the ticketing team on single-game, group, mini-plan, and full-season campaigns, and with merchandise on e-commerce growth.
  • Translate the Club’s brand into growth-driving creative and campaigns that resonate with diverse Boston audiences and the broader women’s soccer community.
  • Collaborate with digital, social, and content teams to ensure organic and paid efforts amplify one another and ladder up to commercial goals.
  • Collaborate with community and grassroots teams to identify and activate cultural marketing opportunities to deepen local connection and accelerate audience growth.
  • Establish the measurement framework for growth marketing, including attribution, KPI dashboards, cohort analysis, and forecasting.
  • Partner with analytics and ticketing operations to surface fan insights and translate them into marketing action.
  • Build and own internal marketing performance dashboard; deliver regular performance reporting and recommendations to executive leadership, including post-campaign, mid-season, and end-of-season recaps.
  • Mentor, and lead a high-performing growth marketing team
  • Partner closely with ticketing, partnerships, communications, and digital/content to ensure go-to-market alignment across all revenue lines.
  • Serve as an internal champion for the fan, balancing commercial performance with brand integrity and long-term loyalty.
