About The Position

The Director of Graduate Business Programs provides overall operational management for several hundred students within the Sellinger School of Business and Management, including both the online and hybrid options and cohort programs. Responsibilities include leading day-to-day operations for graduate business programs, overseeing admissions, enrollment, onboarding, student advising, retention initiatives, and orientation programs to drive student success and engagement. The role involves developing and enhancing the graduate student experience through management of study tours, extracurricular programming, alumni mentoring, and student-focused services; recommending and implementing program improvements based on market trends and student feedback. The Director will partner with recruitment, faculty, Career Services, alumni, and cross-functional stakeholders to create internship, career development, and professional networking opportunities, including coordination of signature student engagement programs and events. Additionally, the role includes designing, administering, and analyzing student surveys and assessment initiatives to support accreditation requirements, program evaluation, strategic decision-making, marketing efforts, and continuous quality improvement. The Director provides leadership and operational oversight by managing staff recruitment, supervision, and performance; serving on the leadership team; and collaborating with faculty and administrators to ensure exceptional program delivery and a high-quality student experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 8-10 years of work experience
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated experience in higher education, graduate business education, curriculum development, and program assessment.
  • Proven success leading and developing teams, managing multiple priorities, and fostering collaboration among faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience leveraging technology, data-informed decision-making, and emerging tools—including artificial intelligence (AI)—to enhance academic programs, student success, and operational effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of current trends in graduate business education, including online and hybrid learning, workforce-aligned curriculum design, and innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to supporting an inclusive learning environment and advancing the mission and values of a Catholic, Jesuit institution.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including public speaking and strategic relationship management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading a team and in team building.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and to delegate.

Responsibilities

  • Direct overall operations, ongoing management, administrative support and continuous evaluation of the Professional’s Master of Business Administration (PMBA), Emerging Leaders MBA (ELMBA), Master of Accounting (MAcc) and Graduate Certificate programs.
  • Manage applicants through admission, yield activities and student commitment.
  • Serve as direct point of contact for all PMBA, ELMBA, MAcc and Certificate students, faculty assigned to the program, university staff, and external agencies providing services to the programs.
  • Helps to coordinate the Sellinger Alumni Mentor Program and other programming activities.
