About The Position

Holiday Inn Boston Cambridge Area is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Front Office (Hotel) to join our team to oversee all front of house operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maximizing departmental efficiency and profitability. This role manages Front Desk, Bell/Transportation, Night Audit, Guest Accounting, Gift Shop, and Pool operations.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hotel front desk experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in related fields (i.e. Hotel Management) preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel systems (Opera, PMS, POS).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Front Office operations, ensuring service excellence and guest satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and supervise guest services staff.
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, budgeting, and departmental financial performance.
  • Oversee check in/out, billing accuracy, room status, and key control.
  • Resolve guest concerns with urgency and professionalism.
  • Maintain communication across departments and conduct regular team meetings.
  • Participate in revenue management meetings and support rate/occupancy strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and company policies.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as needed.
