About The Position

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Director of Franchise is accountable for driving the strategic growth, development, and performance of the franchise network. This role leads franchise recruitment, onboarding, and expansion, while fostering strong franchise partnerships and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, brand standards, and customer experience expectations. As a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Franchise collaborates cross-functionally to accelerate network growth, strengthen brand consistency, enhance franchisee engagement, and support the successful execution of the organization’s strategic priorities across all franchise locations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a commitment to continuous learning and growth
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Canada
  • Flexibility to support business needs, including evenings and weekends as required

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive franchise growth strategies aligned with corporate objectives
  • Identify and evaluate market expansion opportunities to drive network growth
  • Lead franchise recruitment efforts and manage the full development lifecycle—from prospecting through to launch
  • Support franchisee performance through operational leadership, coaching, and KPI oversight
  • Monitor business performance, profitability, and key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Implement best practices to enhance sales, customer experience, and overall business performance
  • Build and sustain strong, trusted relationships with franchise owners
  • Act as a strategic advisor, providing guidance on operational and business challenges
  • Lead performance reviews and support franchisees in achieving long-term success
  • Ensure adherence to franchise agreements, operating standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee audits and compliance activities to protect brand integrity
  • Provide financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization
  • Lead onboarding, training, and development programs to support franchisee success
  • Partner with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure alignment and accountability
  • Champion initiatives that drive consistency, scalability, and system-wide excellence
