We are committed to finding and placing the best hospitality talent in the industry! HSS is seeking a Director of Food & Beverage for our client located in the Ocean City, MD area. We are seeking an experienced hospitality leader to oversee all Food & Beverage operations for a premier resort property. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and team leadership across multiple dining outlets and banquet operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, leadership experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a high-volume resort environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Food & Beverage leadership experience in a hotel or resort environment
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant, banquet, and hospitality operations
  • Experience managing budgets, labor controls, and inventory management
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and hospitality regulations
  • Ability to maintain high service standards while maximizing operational efficiency
  • Strong guest service and conflict resolution skills
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Food & Beverage outlets, banquet operations, and day-to-day departmental performance
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize guest satisfaction, profitability, and efficiency
  • Analyze forecasts and operational reports to support sound business decisions
  • Implement sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth
  • Manage inventory controls and ensure accurate ordering and stock management
  • Create and implement SOPs, training programs, and operational improvements
  • Maintain product quality and service standards through ongoing evaluations and coaching
  • Build strong community relationships and support public relations efforts
  • Ensure all outlets maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness standards
  • Support banquet and group event execution utilizing proper service techniques
  • Lead, motivate, coach, and develop managers and team members
  • Conduct hiring, training, counseling, and performance evaluations
  • Monitor labor scheduling and staffing levels based on business demands
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and safety standards
  • Maintain payroll, administrative, and accounts payable accuracy
  • Participate in leadership meetings and collaborate cross-functionally across departments
