About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a Director of Food and Beverage for Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Five-Star resort located in Chatham, Massachusetts. This historic resort offers a luxurious experience on 25 oceanfront acres, featuring 217 rooms and suites, a private beach, oceanfront pool, bike rentals, bonfires, tennis courts, a full-service spa, and a Kids Crew program. The resort also boasts an 8-acre farm providing produce for its restaurants and hosting farm-to-table dinners. Chatham Bars Inn is known for its exceptional culinary program with six distinct dining options that highlight fresh, local ingredients and innovative flavors. Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience as a Food and Beverage Director with high-volume banquet business.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditures.
  • Experience in a Forbes 4/5 Star luxury property strongly preferred.
  • College education or equivalent, hotel or business administration degree preferred.
  • Organizational skills to function effectively with attention to detail while meeting established deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience with Excel, Outlook, Open Table, and Delphi preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Effective communication in English, both oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Current TIPS Alcohol Certification or comparable alcohol service certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management in all areas of food and beverage, dining outlets, and staff.
  • Meet objectives and standards set forth by the Resort, including Forbes Five-Star Standards, Preferred Legend, and AAA.
  • Ensure maximum results in the utilization and appearance of food and beverage outlets, quality levels, performance, and standards of service.
  • Focus heavily on Forbes service standards, including training, auditing, and accountability.
  • Coordinate the development, interpretation, and implementation of operating procedures, training programs, work schedules, rules, and regulations for the food and beverage staff.
  • Manage all labor costs, budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and maintenance of all food and beverage equipment and supplies.
  • Develop new and analyze existing procedures to provide quality services and increase guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest requests and concerns.
  • Develop and maintain effective communications between all operating departments.
