The Director of Financial Reporting will report to the VP, Finance Corporate Controller and will be directly responsible for managing the preparation of our SEC filings, including 10-Qs and 10-Ks, and coordination with our legal team with respect to the Proxy Statement and other miscellaneous 8-K filings. Additionally, the Director of Financial Reporting will be responsible for internal reporting, assisting with the preparation of earnings releases, assisting both the internal and external audit process, and assisting and coordinating stock administration activities. The Director of Financial Reporting is expected to effectively interact with the other departments that contribute to the preparation of SEC filings. Current knowledge of US GAAP, proposed accounting pronouncements, SOX, COSO and PCAOB requirements is critical for success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience auditing public companies or equivalent experience in SEC reporting role(s)
  • CPA certification in process or CPA license required
  • Good computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC Reporting, SOX and COSO
  • Strong leadership and project and time management skills; ability to interact with management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q and Annual Reports on Form 10-K and manage the internal and external review of these documents.
  • Responsible for the preparation of XBRL filings.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and validate financial information included in those documents.
  • Provide and review financial disclosures in the Proxy Statement.
  • Liaise with external auditors and assist with the audit process to ensure timely completion within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX internal controls and assist with managing the internal audit process.
  • Perform financial due diligence and manage accounting integration for acquisitions; manage valuations for purchase accounting or impairment testing.
  • Coordinate and execute all stock administration activities and provide accounting for all stock-based compensation arrangements.
  • Research, conclude and document technical accounting issues as they arise.
  • Manage the CEO and CFO certification process.
  • Complete ad hoc special projects as needed.
  • Assist with supervisory responsibilities within the department.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
  • Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.
