About The Position

P.F. Chang’s is seeking a Director of Financial Operations to lead key accounting operations and support accurate, timely financial reporting. The role partners with the VP, Controller, Finance leaders, and business partners to strengthen financial controls, improve processes, and develop a high-performing team. It is based at the Scottsdale Global Support Center, where team members collaborate in person at least three days per week, with additional in-office days as business needs require.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading and developing accounting teams.
• Experience with labor accounting, including bonus and incentive calculations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in fixed asset accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Workday Financials.
• A track record of leading process improvements.
• Strong judgment, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Multi-unit, retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Experience with lease accounting under ASC 842 is strongly preferred.
• CPA license is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting activities, reconciliations, analyses, and reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex accounting matters and provide direction to the accounting team.
• Partner with the Controller to make accounting operations more efficient, accurate, scalable, and well controlled.
• Research, document, and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to non-routine transactions.
• Support labor-related accounting, including incentive compensation calculations and reconciliations.
• Complete lease modifications, renewals, reconciliations, and other activities under ASC 842.
• Coach team members, support performance management, and help employees build their skills and careers.
• Communicate and collaborate across the business, representing Accounting with a professional, solutions-focused approach.
• Contribute to additional projects and initiatives as business needs arise.
