About The Position

Director of Financial Management/Construction plays a critical role in driving financial success, operational efficiency, and strategic growth within the organization while ensuring the delivery of high-quality construction projects and facility management services.

Requirements

Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent work experience.
Strong preference to accounting, finance, and construction.
Project Manager Professional Certification
A minimum of 5+ years of full-time supervisory/ management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Strong administrative experience required.
Superior organization skills.
Ability to handle high volume, fast paced work.
Works independently and exercising good judgment and discretion is essential to this job.

Responsibilities

Develop and oversee financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects and facility management operations.
Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
Manage financial reporting processes, including financial statements, cash flow analysis, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Evaluate investment opportunities, such as new construction projects or facility upgrades, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.
Oversee day-to-day operations of construction projects and facility management activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
Implement operational policies and procedures to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource utilization.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration among team members to drive operational excellence.
Identify potential risks related to construction projects, facility maintenance, regulatory compliance, and financial stability.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize exposure and ensure business continuity.
Stay abreast of industry regulations, codes, and standards to ensure compliance and mitigate legal and financial risks.
Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., executives, department heads) and external partners (e.g., contractors, vendors, regulatory agencies).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and legal, to achieve project objectives and address challenges proactively.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, financial performance, and strategic initiatives.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to finance and operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning.
Recruit, train, and develop talent to build a high-performing team capable of meeting current and future business needs.
