About The Position

Director of Financial Management/Construction plays a critical role in driving financial success, operational efficiency, and strategic growth within the organization while ensuring the delivery of high-quality construction projects and facility management services.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong preference to accounting, finance, and construction.
  • Project Manager Professional Certification
  • A minimum of 5+ years of full-time supervisory/ management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Strong administrative experience required.
  • Superior organization skills.
  • Ability to handle high volume, fast paced work.
  • Works independently and exercising good judgment and discretion is essential to this job.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts for construction projects and facility management operations.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Manage financial reporting processes, including financial statements, cash flow analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, such as new construction projects or facility upgrades, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of construction projects and facility management activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Implement operational policies and procedures to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration among team members to drive operational excellence.
  • Identify potential risks related to construction projects, facility maintenance, regulatory compliance, and financial stability.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize exposure and ensure business continuity.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, codes, and standards to ensure compliance and mitigate legal and financial risks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., executives, department heads) and external partners (e.g., contractors, vendors, regulatory agencies).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and legal, to achieve project objectives and address challenges proactively.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, financial performance, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to finance and operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning.
  • Recruit, train, and develop talent to build a high-performing team capable of meeting current and future business needs.
