About The Position

The Director of Financial Aid is responsible for leading the campus Financial Aid Department and ensuring the efficient, compliant, and student-focused delivery of financial aid services. This role involves managing all aspects of federal and state financial aid programs, overseeing the Financial Aid team, and maintaining strict adherence to Title IV and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in financial aid administration, including leadership and compliance oversight.
• In-depth knowledge of Title IV funding, FAFSA processing, and Department of Education systems (e.g., COD, NSLDS).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to support and guide a diverse student population.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in a career college or vocational training environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office at the San Jose campus.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies and regulations.
• Lead, train, and support Financial Aid Advisors to deliver excellent service to current and prospective students.
• Monitor financial aid processing, packaging, awarding, and disbursement to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Work collaboratively with Admissions, Academics, and the Business Office to support student enrollment and retention goals.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain efficiency and regulatory compliance with assistance from the Corporate Director of Financial Aid.
• Stay up to date on changes to financial aid laws and regulations and ensure campus practices reflect current standards.
• Assist with audits, accreditation visits, and reporting as needed.
