About The Position

The Fremont Street Experience, a world-famous entertainment venue located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, is searching for an experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial, accounting, budgeting and forecasting areas of the organization. The Director of Finance and will provide the leadership to make certain the organization has the proper financial, accounting and administrative controls and procedures in place to protect assets.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred.
  • At least 5 years work experience managing a finance department responsible for accounting, budgeting, forecasting and administration.
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal skills.
  • Experience in making board presentations relating to annual budgets, monthly forecasts, analytical models and internal audits.
  • Strong understanding of Accounting and Financial principles and policies.
  • Experience in negotiating and implementing real estate leases.
  • Track record of working with outside legal council in various business compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs and Accounting Systems.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to follow through and bring projects to completion within established time frames.
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to interface comfortably with Senior Executives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires a team player mentality and ability to get along with other Department Directors.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in the Entertainment industry or Casino a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating annual operating budgets, monthly forecasts, project management and development of financial & analytical models.
  • Development of financial procedures, processes and reports including the preparation of cash flow and income statements, review journal entries and prepare pro forma reports as needed.
  • Communicate weekly and monthly reports and trend analysis to senior management and outside constituent groups.
  • Oversee legal functions for the organization.
  • Work with the outside accounting firm in preparing the annual audit.
