About The Position

The Director of Finance is a key member of the Hotel Leadership team, contributing to strategic and operational decisions for the Hotel, Residences, and Club. This role is crucial for providing timely and accurate financial information and guidance to senior management and ownership. The Director ensures the hotel adheres to all local and corporate policies, procedures, and contractual obligations. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing the Finance staff to support the company's future growth.

Requirements

• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a related position with Four Seasons or another organization.
• Thorough knowledge of all jobs in the Accounting area.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all responsibilities and tasks.
• High degree of professional integrity, and ability to work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
• Commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures.
• US work authorization is required unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at a Four Seasons location. Current Four Seasons managers may qualify for L-1 visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Four years’ experience as a hotel/resort Director of Finance preferred.
• Minimum of BSC or BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting/Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safeguarding hotel assets and financial resources to maximize hotel profitability.
• Networking within the community to attract potential candidates and understand the competitive market.
• Assisting the General Manager in establishing policies, rules, internal controls, and safeguards.
• Consistently delivering the highest level of financial reporting and analysis, internal control compliance, and business management with integrity and accuracy.
• Ensuring bank accounts are opened with banks of strong financial standing, verified by local rating services if available.
• Preparing a comprehensive monthly report of the hotel's financial results in corporate formats and according to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Maintaining files on all contracts, leases, and agreements, ensuring compliance with their requirements and proper authorization.
• Ensuring compliance with all loan covenants and the accuracy of long-term debt balances.
• Closely monitoring and effectively managing labor costs in compliance with applicable Employment Laws.
• Preparing forecasts and budgets as required by the corporate office, management agreements, or Residential governing documents.
