About The Position

The Director of Finance, Forecast & Close owns Bed Bath & Beyond’s monthly forecast and full-year outlook across all lines of business, building a driver-based forecast that connects channel, cost, and SG&A inputs to consolidated Revenue, EBITDA, and Cash Flow. The role establishes the forecasting calendar and templates, pressure-tests assumptions, leads consolidation, and drives gap-closure plans when the outlook falls short of plan. The position partners with the Controller and Accounting team on month-end close, flash results, accruals, reconciliations between management reporting and GAAP results, and clear handoffs and controls between FP&A and Accounting. It also supports quarterly reporting and investor-relations materials with Control, Legal, and the FP&A Lead. The Director leads monthly business reviews and prepares executive-ready analysis and recommendations for the CFO, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team. The role builds scalable forecasting and close processes, improves planning and reporting tools, and leads the Senior Forecast Analyst while coordinating forecast contributors across Finance. Success includes an adopted, documented forecast and close calendar, improved forecast accuracy and review-cycle time, and business reviews that result in decisions and owned actions.
