About The Position

Terros Health is seeking a Director of Facilities to join their team in Phoenix, AZ. Requirements

  • Seven or more years’ experience in commercial, institutional and/or industrial facilities management sectors.
  • Three or more years’ of supervisory experience is required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 3 years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Must pass a Drug Screen, TB Test and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • College degree and/or Training Certification preferred.
  • Experience with Major Construction Projects is a Plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee facility operations of designated buildings and assets.
  • Coordinate day-to-day facilities activities and manage the automotive fleet.
  • Implement and maintain facilities designs and operations that meet employee, patient, and community needs and safety requirements.
  • Support facilities maintenance employees, coordinate training, and manage their performance.
  • Coordinate and assign repair calls and work orders efficiently across the state.
  • Oversee team productivity and develop revised workflows for process improvement.
  • Assist with interviews, selection, training, and performance reviews of trades mechanics.
  • Assist with workers' schedules when team coverage is needed.
  • Participate in expansion planning and oversee construction-related activities, including guidance to vendors and contractors.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Services Department to support patient, tenant, and employee safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintain building permits, and ensure properties are maintained according to applicable standards (HQS, NSPIRE).
  • Address health and safety issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform general maintenance/repairs as needed and advise leadership on procurement of resources.
  • Ensure scheduled and routine maintenance surveys of all sites, including fire inspections, are completed.
  • Maintain a complete security system, including lock identification, key file, and automatic access codes.
  • Issue keys as authorized and maintain a record of all keys and codes issued.
  • Utilize effective planning, reporting, and budget performance to meet operational, compliance, and financial requirements.
  • Respond to fires, disasters, and emergencies, including hazmat and clean-up situations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all departmental information, communications, and activities.
  • Work closely with other facilities leaders and team members, as well as cross-functionally, to ensure business needs are met.
  • Collaborate with building management and owners as needed.
  • Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of vendors and contractors.
