About The Position

The HOW Group is seeking a dynamic Director of Facilities & Resident Services to join their growing Property Management team. This role is for a hands-on leader who will oversee facilities and maintenance operations, elevate the resident experience, and develop high-performing teams. The ideal candidate is strategic, sees the big picture, and is willing to actively participate in getting tasks done.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field preferred, with 10+ years of progressive property management experience, including 5-7 years in a leadership role; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of property management operations, facilities, maintenance, and financial management.
  • Proven ability to improve processes, increase efficiency, and drive operational excellence.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong financial and analytical abilities, including experience with budgets and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
  • A can-do attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves, solve problems, and get things done.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications, such as a real estate license or NAA designation, are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee facilities, maintenance, resident services, property administration, and contract compliance across the portfolio.
  • Develop and implement processes, policies, and strategies to improve efficiency, service, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure residents receive responsive, professional, and exceptional service, and identify opportunities to improve satisfaction and retention.
  • Supervise, mentor, motivate, and hold Maintenance and Resident Services teams accountable for delivering outstanding results.
  • Partner with senior leadership on new acquisitions, property onboarding, and opportunities to expand the management portfolio.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, residents, and internal teams, and identify opportunities to strengthen and grow partnerships.
  • Analyze financial statements, operational reports, and performance metrics to make informed decisions and drive profitability.
  • Tackle challenges, think creatively, and continuously look for ways to improve property performance and the resident experience.
